The company was founded in 1924 under the name of Huff Daland Dusters, and was initially involved in aerial crop-dusting in Georgia. Later, it moved to Louisiana, changed its name to Delta Air Services, and began handling passenger flights, the first of which was from Texas to Mississippi. Thanks to the expansion of flight directions, the company moved to a new level, establishing an office in Atlanta in 1941.
